Safari Float by Raft
Our Safari Float on the Penas Blancas River offers a great way of enjoying the abundant wildlife surrounding this river. On our rafts an expert naturalist guide will do all the paddling, allowing you to relax like the iguanas sunning themselves on the nearby branches. You will have plenty of opportunities to take pictures of the rainforest canopy teeming with monkeys or catch a closer look at many species of tropical birds through your binoculars.
Guests float on the river for approximately two hours before arriving at a local working farm, the owner of which is a well known Costa Rican horse breeder and trainer. His wife makes delicious typical style food like yucca bread, homemade cheese, sweet fried plantations, and serves these treats with our famous coffee made the old-fashion way. Everything you eat at this farm comes directly from their own land!
During the tour, our experienced guides will provide interesting and educational information regarding the local botanical and animal life in addition to geography and history.
ARENAL HANGING BRIDGES
Our destination for this tour is a vast rain forest preserve measuring 250 hectares of protected land. This natural paradise consists of two miles of walking trails, crossing 15 bridges, 6 of them being hanging bridges. The spectacular design of these hanging bridges brings you closer to nature and gives you the option to walk the forest floor like a Jaguar, swing from the middle branches like a monkey or soar overhead like an eagle.
One of our hanging bridges is called 'The Waterfall Bridge' and is over 60 meters high giving you an amazing view of a beautiful waterfall. In addition to each of our unique bridges, guests have the opportunity to learn an abundance about the rainforest and see a variety of wildlife.
During the tour, our experienced guides will provide interesting and educational information regarding the local botanical and animal life, geography and history and if you are lucky you may even catch some breath taking views of the Arenal Volcano.
